Kylian Mbappe, the star player of Real Madrid, will not perform in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Group H match against Pachuca in Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mbappe who missed the opening match of the tournament was fired from the hospital. However, he will not be seen in the coming crucial group game.
Reason behind the absence of Mbappe
The primary reason for the absence of Kylian Mbappe is his recent disease. The 26-year-old attacker missed the first match against Al Hilal because of gastroenteritis, which led to a short hospitalization.
After he was fired, he continued to travel in the team hotel instead of the team to Charlotte for the Pachuca match. According to a Real Madrid statement: “Mbappe will continue with specific medical treatment and will gradually return to the activity of the team.”
Xabi Alonso's optimism for the return of Mbappe
The new manager of Real Madrid, Xabi Alonso, who took over from Carlo Ancelotti, had given an update on the state of Mbappe.
In conversation with Dazn, Alonso said: “He feels better. It will be difficult for him to return for Sunday's game, but we hope he can return to Salzburg.”
Real Madrid plays their third match against the Red Bull Salzburg on 27 June (6.30 am ist).
Real Madrid's Line -Up against Pachuca
Alonso has opted for continuity in his line-up after a 1-1 draw against Al Hilal in the first game. The only important change in the second game is the recording of young talent Arda Guler instead of Rodrygo, who struggled in the opener. Van Guler is expected to play in addition to Vinicius Junior, with Gonzalo Garcia who will lead the attack.
The defensive and midfield units have usually remained unchanged, with Trent Alexander-Arnold holding his places on the right and the midfield trio of Aurelien Tchouameni, Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde.
