India delivered a fantastic version on the second day of the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025 with Rinku Hooda that stood up as the striking star in the men's spear events. Rinku took the gold medal in the F46 category with an impressive pitch of 60.26 meters, and continued his golden streak after his recent triumph on the 22nd National Para Athletics Championships in Goa and a silver medal at the fourth Asian Para games.
His impressive pitch put him ahead of Gamini Ketawala from Sri Lanka, who registered a pitch of 56.88 meters, and Elyorbek Elmatov of Uzbekistan, which settled for bronze with 43.01 meters.
The dominance of India was further underlined in the men's spear F12, F37, F42, F43 combined category, where Indian athletes wipe the stage.
Pushpendra Singh led the peloton with a gold -winning throw of 57.57 meters, followed by Mohit who secured silver with 45.45 meters, and Jaswant who took bronze with 45.94 meters, which marked another clean sweep for the hosts.
The momentum took place over other field events, where Ritender added a gold for India to the Javelin F40/F41 category with a throw of 30.33 meters.
Alexey Lukutin from Kazakhstan and Yuldosbekistan from Uzbekistan finished second and third respectively. During the Discus Throw F56/F57 event for men, Atul Kaashik from India came as a victor with a pitch of 43.92 meters, while fellow countryman Ram Kumar Yadav took silver with 30.59 meters.
The bronze went to the Maekel Lita of the Philippines, who knew 22.79 meters.
The female athletes of India also felt their presence. In the Bot-Put event, Svetlana Mironova claimed gold with a pitch of 13.97 meters, while the India's Khushboo took silver with 9.52 meters and Ananya Bansal earned bronze with an effort of 7.73 meters.
In the Ladies Javelin F34 category, India's Baghyashri Madhavrao Jadhav won gold with a pitch of 12.73 meters, causing the Uzbekistan Dilsuz Ziyodulloeva, which took silver with 11.30 meters. Mubina claimed the bronze.
In the 400 meter category of 400 meters from 400 meters T35/T36, Mikhail Kuskus was at the top of the stage with a time of 56.10 seconds, with India's Abhishek Babasaheb Jadhav that takes silver in 64.09 seconds in 64.09 seconds, and bronze to Kirill Glazyrin.
