Team India A made the whole country proud after beating Bangladesh A in the semi-final of the ongoing Emerging Asia Cup on Friday to secure a place in the final of the tournament. Asked to bat first, India A posted a total of 211, courtesy of skipper Yash Dhull’s 66-run knock. Later Bangladesh A was bundled for 160 after Nishant Sindhu made a great five wicket haul. The Saif Hassan-led side continued to lose wickets at regular intervals, but the dismissal of Rakibul Hasan received a lot of attention.
In the 32nd over of the Bangladesh chase, Rakibul came on strike and played a reverse sweep on his first pitch, which was bowled by Sindhu. However, his shot lacked timing and speed and it was a simple catch for Riyan Parag, who was on the slip. After taking the catch, Riyan couldn’t hide his emotions and teased the Bangladeshi batter with his wild celebration. Rakibul stood there in shock for a while and then went back to the dugout.
How smart was that of Riyan?!

India A set up a potentially high-tension Emerging Asia Cup final against Pakistan A after beating Bangladesh A by 51 runs in the semi-finals in Colombo on Friday.
Bangladesh had India on the ropes and bundled them for 211, a total made possible by captain Yash Dhull’s impressive 66 off 85 balls. But the Indian spinners took advantage of the slightly tacky pitch to oust Bangladesh for 160 to celebrate a fine win.
Left arm spinner Nishant Sindhu accentuated Bangladesh’s fall with a five wicket haul (5 for 20). But the real protagonist for India’s victory was Dhull. He has been talked about in the Indian domestic circuit as a player to be kept in check, and the innings of the day showed the reason.
