The Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir at the press conference prior to the tour of India by England gave his opinion about the late recording of Iyer in the team. “Look, everyone can be called. Everyone can be called if they are in good shape,” Gambhir said recently.
“We could only choose 18, and the chairman-selector has already answered that question. For me I think it's always about being open to people who are in good shape and who can come and deliver,” he added.
