Sunil Narine is generally considered one of the largest players who holds the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Jersey. Now 36, Narine has evolved from a mysterious spinner to a multidimensional all -rounder, after he has helped KKR to win three Indian Premier League (IPL) titles and won three most valuable player (MVP) Awards. Former KKR player Manvinder Bisla – who played with him in the title -winning teams of 2012 and 2014 -, however, revealed that the secret of the success of Narine was that he never bowed in the Netten.
“He (Narine) would not bow to batters in the nets. First of all, he had no interest in bowling in the nets. Secondly, he did not want to be read by batters who could play for another franchise a few years later,” revealed Bisla, speaking on the “Knuckleball by DailyExpertNews” Podcast.
“When I was a wicket posture for KKR, I had to ask him to bow to me at 12 or 13 deliveries so that I could read his variations, because I was the one she had to catch and had a blunt. If I couldn't collect it, and the ball made both the batter and myself, it would be of no use,” Bisla Humor said.
“After he had bent 10-12 balls, I could understand something (about the variations of Narine)!” Bisla explained.

Narine has played a crucial role in the success of KKR over the years. After he introduced the IPL as a young mysterious spinner who was difficult to read, he has now evolved as a powerful all -rounder that contributes to both facets of the game.
In IPL 2024, Narine won the MVP price remotely when KKR went to a dominant title victory. Narine hit 488 runs with a strike speed of more than 180 and picked up 17 wickets in a misery economy of 6.69.
In IPL 2025, Narine has shown his courage again with both bat and ball. Narine has beaten 125 runs with a success rate of almost 190, while he also took five wickets in so many competitions.
