Pakistani wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan turned 30 on Wednesday. Earlier this year, Rizwan was named the T20I Men’s Player of the Year and late in the evening has had great success bat-in-hand in the game’s shortest form. Pakistan are now gearing up for a three-game ODI series against the West Indies, which begins in Multan on June 8. Prior to the series, the entire Pakistan squad celebrated Rizwan’s birthday.
The Pakistan Cricket Board’s official Instagram handle posted a video showing the entire squad celebrating Rizwan’s birthday.
There is a cake with Rizwan’s jersey number (16) written on it, along with a message, reading: “HBD to Superman of the Cricket World”.
The likes of Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi can also be seen taking part in the festivities.
Rizwan has so far played 22 Tests, 44 ODIs and 56 T20Is for Pakistan, scoring 3,671 runs across all formats of the game.
