Young Batting Sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to shine in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and gets a lot of praise from Rajasthan Royals (RR) Batting Coach Vikram Rathourr for his composed and impactful performance under pressure. After the latest knock of Suryavanshi of 57 out of 33 balls against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Delhi, Rathour greeted the temperament and the growth of the young person. “Very impressive,” Ratour said at the press conference after the game.
“We have been working with him for some time, maybe three to four months, we have seen all these aspects, but it is great to see him perform well in games under pressure situations,” he added.
The 14-year-old ran into a chas of 188 against CSK, where the ball went around and the scoring opportunities in the innings were limited. Suryavanshi, however, showed a remarkable maturity and put four sixes and four boundaries in his smooth knock.
“In a big game like today, when he went inside, the ball did a bit. He hardly got any deliveries and didn't put much in the powerplay,” Ratour explained.
“The kind of maturity and temperament he showed were excellent. This kind of experiences will certainly make him a better player in the future,” he added.
Suryavanshi has now scored 252 points in seven games this season, but it was his sizzling a hundred against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Jaipur who made the headlines all over the world. At the age of just 14, he became the youngest Centurion ever in the T20 cricket for men, and hit 101 out of 38 balls. His century, which came in just 35 deliveries, is the second fastest in the IPL history.
Recording the competition, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and skipper Sanju Samson's Blitzkrieg, topped up by the fiery start of Yashasvi Jaiswal, a six -district triumph with 17 balls over for Rajasthan Royals over Chenai Super Kings in the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the IPL 2025.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (36) and a 98-run partnership between Samson and Suryavanshi, Rajasthan kept control and raised the team into an impressive victory in their last game of the season.
