Former Indian Test opener Wasim Jaffer
Wasim Jaffer has made a big name for himself for his impeccable sense of humor and ability to come up with great memes and light-hearted social media posts. His ongoing chat with former England captain Michael Vaughan is one of the highlights of his Twitter presence.
He also makes some great and enlightening comments about the game of cricket from time to time.
On Wednesday, Jaffer took to Twitter to share a meme from the movie Lagaan, and highlighted the bottomless catch standards in the IPL this season. IPL 2022 has dropped a lot of catches and last night’s clash between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings was no exception.

Jaffer took to Twitter and posted a scene from the movie Lagaan in which the character Bagha drops a catch. Bagha struggled to hold on to the catches in the fictional period film, starring Aamir Khan. The film’s climax was based on a competition between English officers and villagers and went on to achieve huge commercial and critical success. It was nominated at the Oscars for the award for best foreign film, but lost it.

Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, lost the game by 12 runs and fell to their fifth consecutive loss this season and will remain at the bottom of the points tally with no points.
Rohit Sharma’s team failed to chase a 199-run goal, despite a spirited performance from Dewald Brevis and Suryakumar Yadav.
