Your goods are supplied by drones seems directly from a science fiction film, but it became a real reality in 2022 when Amazon really started with drone deliveries in the US. Amazon states that you can easily tap the “place your order” button and that the entire process takes about 60 minutes or less. However, Amazon is now starting to expand to more categories of devices that join the existing 60,000 items that are eligible for Drone delivery. Amazon says that the FAA approval has been given to deliver new categories of items, including Apple iPhones, Samsung Galaxy devices, Apple airtags, Apple Airpods, Doorbells and more.

Amazon states that you must select the drone delivery option when you check out. You must buy one of these items in an eligible environment and the item must weigh five pounds or less. You can then select your delivery address and a delivery place at your address, such as your driveway or garden.
In the screenshot that Amazon has shared, we also see a card example of the location you have selected, and you can select the exact point where the drone will deliver your package. Amazon will tell you exactly how long the delivery will last. Amazon says that the latest ordering process has been refined as a result of two years of building and integrating a digital map in the computer of the drone with eligible addresses.

The drones can actually determine how long it takes before the drone can fly to an address. So, as soon as the order is placed, Amazon can tell you the exact delivery time within five minutes after placing an order and inform you when you can expect your package. Amazon will also tell you whether a delivery cannot be completed, along with the reason.
Amazon will make these deliveries with the help of its new MK30 drone. When these drones reach the delivery point, they verify the right location and the right package before they do the delivery.
