Nothing Phone 1 will be launched soon, the UK-based company confirmed on Monday. The exact launch date is not shared by the Nothing brand, backed by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. However, the phone’s display specs have surfaced online before. The Nothing Phone 1 is tipped with a 6.55-inch OLED screen. The handset could have a flat panel without a chin. The upcoming phone is teased with support for wireless charging and it has been confirmed to have a transparent back. In India, the device will be available through Flipkart.
The company said in a tweet “This Week” hinting at the launch of Nothing Phone 1. However, nothing has not mentioned the exact launch date and key specs of the smartphone.
Individually, tipster TechDroider (@techdroider) suggested the display details of Nothing Phone 1 on Twitter. According to the leak, the handset will pack a 6.55-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. The display panel is said to have flat edges and is expected to come without a chin. This can provide the user with a full screen experience.
Nothing had teased the Nothing Phone 1 recently and revealed the presence of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC on the smartphone. It has been confirmed to run on Nothing OS based on Android. The handset comes with wireless charging support and has a translucent casing like the Nothing Ear 1 true wireless earbuds, showing off the internal components.
A previous report has indicated that Nothing Phone 1 will be unveiled on July 21. According to the report, it could cost around EUR 500 (about Rs. 41,400).
Nothing Phone 1 has been confirmed to be available for purchase in India via Flipkart. The company first partnered with the e-commerce major last year to sell its Nothing Ear 1 earbuds. Flipkart had created a special webpage to tease the launch of the upcoming phone.
