Xiaomi will launch the Mix Fold 2 in China on Thursday. The company took a look at this foldable smartphone from the side and revealed that it will have a micro-drop hinge. The design of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 has yet to be officially revealed. A few days before its debut, an alleged design rendering of the handset has been spotted on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. It shows the outer display and back panel of the upcoming smartphone.
The alleged Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 design render was: spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd). It shows a triple rear camera setup with an LED flash and Leica branding. The outer screen of this upcoming Xiaomi smartphone is said to have thin bezels and a centrally placed perforation cutout.
A recent report also suggested that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2’s outer camera could carry Leica branding. It is also expected to have a 50-megapixel primary sensor with support for Dolby Vision HDR video recording. It is said to have a 6.5-inch outer screen with a 60 Hz refresh rate and an 8-inch inner panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The smartphone may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 has also reportedly surfaced on the China Compulsory Certification (3C) site with the model number 22061218C. The alleged listing suggests that the smartphone will support 67W fast charging.
The Chinese tech giant announced on Tuesday that the Mix Fold 4 will be launched in China at a launch event to be held on August 11 at 7pm CST / 4.30pm IST. Xiaomi also revealed that the smartphone will be 5.4mm thin. It will also unveil the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro and Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro at the event.
