Google in California has introduced a new report, which emphasizes how the company fights online scams using its artificial intelligence technology. The report, which was released on Thursday, states that AI was implemented in Chrome, Search and Android to combat scams.
According to the Google blog post, the technology company has implemented the on -evice Gemini Nano Ai in the Chrome-Browser to tackle scams based on websites. There is a new fighting scam in the search report, which emphasizes how the company improves its AI-driven SCAM detection tools and claims that it can now see 20 times potentially harmful websites.
The report indicates how website-based scams usually focus on fake users with fake websites to steal their personal information, money or login details. Although the pattern of stealing could differ, more or less, the idea is to mislead users by creating urgency or offering fake offers to lure them. Cryptocurrency lighting, shops, phishing sites, clone websites and cheap subscription traps are some of the popular scam traps.
Google has announced improvements to its AI-driven scamming detection within a search and revealed that it has upgraded its classifications to better identify and relegate scams-related content before it reaches users. A remarkable example was the increase in fraudulent schemes in which scammers were presented as customer service agents of airlines – a problem that Google says that it has been processed by more than 80 percent because of these improvements.
In Chrome, the tech giant has strengthened the improved protection mode in its safe browsing function. Now integrated with Gemini Nano on-Apparate Large Language Model (LLM) for Desktops adding the updated system deeper protection by spotting potential phishing sites and warning Google of fast action. According to the company, Gemini Nano is able to analyze complex website behavior and to detect scams that have not been marked before.
Looking ahead, Google shared his intention to roll out similar protective measures for Android devices and to broaden the range of scams that it can tackle.
That said, Android users are already seeing new guarantees. Chrome on Android introduces a function that blocks harmful website-based reports. If a report from a site is marked as potentially deceptively, users receive a warning entitled “Potential scam detected”, together with options to safely abolish or assess the report.
