Google has announced that the Audio Overview of Audiolm function is now available in more than 50 languages, so that opportunities for people in several countries are opened, because they no longer have to be limited to specific languages. This is mainly after Notebooklm was launched in more than 200 countries last year.
For those who are not insiders, the Audio Overview function works by converting your source text into podcast-like conversations. And now the use of Gemini's Native Audio support also makes this available in other languages, including Hindi and popular Indian languages, in addition to others such as Turkish and more.

Here is what is new
Audio overviews are generated as standard in the preferred language of your account. However, there is now a new output language option in the Notebook LM institutions. Based on the language you choose here, your audio overviews will be generated accordingly. So if you select Hindi in the output language, your audio overviews will be generated in the Hindi.
It should be noted that you can always change the language and your audio overviews will adjust accordingly. So if you use this to create study material or other content, you can easily do this by changing the language.
Google says that this possibility breaks language barriers and makes information accessible to more people.
What is NotebookLM?
NotebookLM was launched in 2023 at Google I/O. This tool makes information consumption easier, also for people in education and making content. It uses large language models and is currently built on Gemini 2.0.
Google calls it a virtual research assistant who can help you summarize facts and explain complex topics. It offers summaries of the documents that you submit to NotebookLM, including Google Documents. It also includes framing key questions and subjects. You can also ask questions about the document you have submitted.
