GTA 6 does not come to the PC at the launch. It will only launch for the PS5, PS5 Pro and the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, on 26 May 2026. Yes, only these four consoles. Rockstar confirmed this on its website and via multiple trailers, as only these platforms were mentioned.
And yes, the Nintendo Switch 2 is also missing in the list so far. Based on the current information, it is unlikely that the game will be launched on it, unless Nintendo has planned a surprise promoter.
That said, many wonder when GTA 6 could arrive at PC. We have done some research on the basis of previous cases of Rockstar's console releases and how long it took before they arrive at PC. This is what we have found.

How long did Rockstar take to bring its console games to PC?
Let's go back to 2008, when GTA 4 was launched. It then came out in the first instance for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Are you wondering when it arrived at PC? While the PS3 and Xbox versions were launched in April 2008, the PC version only came out in December, 8 months later.
Now, moved to GTA 5. It was launched in September 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, but the PC version did not arrive until April 2015, almost two years later.
What about Red Dead Redemption 2? However, it was launched for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles on 26 October 2018. However, the Windows -PC version was released more than a year later on November 5, 2019.
Given the track record of Rockstar, it is clear that the studio is typically speaking its most important games on consoles and PCs. With GTA 5 it took almost two years. With GTA 4 it was eight months, and with Red Dead Redemption 2 it was more than a year. So it would not be uncommon to assume that Rockstar could also take its time with the PC release of GTA 6.
GTA 6 Trailer 2 Visuals were recorded on a basic PS5
What is interesting is Rockstar's confirmation that the visuals of the trailer are set on a standard PS5, not even the PS5 Pro. Based on the images, the game looks very detailed, with high-fidelity graphics, detailed animations, realistic muscle distortion on Jason while he moves, sweat effects and more. There are even complicated details such as beer bottles with bubbles or water fluids hanging around.
That said, it remains unclear to which frame reasons the game will run on the PS5, Xbox Series X or Series S, and where Resolutions Rockstar strives for.
