First impressions
When I unboxed the Honeywell Air Touch P2, I was struck by its simple yet effective design. The device feels sturdy and light and weighs only 5.5 kg, making it easy to move between rooms. With its dimensions of 26 x 26.3 x 52.4 cm, it is compact enough to fit into smaller spaces without taking up too much space. The white finish is neutral and unobtrusive, making it suitable for any modern interior.
Installing the air purifier was quick and easy. The real-time PM2.5 display provided immediate feedback on air quality, and it didn't take long for the device to show its value, especially in an environment plagued by high levels of pollution. The ability to turn off the screen was another thoughtful feature, especially when used in a bedroom where the light from the screen could be distracting.

Design and ergonomics
The Honeywell Air Touch P2 is designed with functionality in mind. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but instead focuses on what's important: performance, ease of use and portability. Its compact design allows you to place it virtually anywhere, and at just 5.5kg it's light enough to move around effortlessly.
Despite its relatively compact nature, the air purifier can clean a large area of up to 80 square meters. You can easily place it in the living room and move it to the bedroom if necessary. The controls at the top are intuitive and the app connectivity means you don't have to be near the device to adjust the settings. The ability to turn off the display, especially at night, is a simple but thoughtful feature. It keeps the room dark for a good night's sleep while continuing to purify the air.
However, there is a downside to the design. The power cord and plug feel thin and somewhat brittle. While this won't affect overall performance, the quality of the wiring can certainly be improved for long-term durability.

Sound and performance
When it comes to performance, the Honeywell Air Touch P2 shines. I tested it in rooms with varying levels of pollution, and it produced consistent results. In smaller rooms (about 150 square feet), the air purifier brought the AQI down to below 50 in less than 5 minutes, which is a huge relief, especially in cities with dangerous pollution levels like Delhi. In larger spaces (up to 500 square feet) it managed to lower the AQI in less than 15 minutes, making it very effective for most indoor spaces.
The real-time PM2.5 display provides immediate feedback and shows the gradual reduction of airborne pollutants as the air purifier gets going. The 4-stage filtration system, which includes an H13 HEPA filter, an activated carbon filter, a nano silver ION antibacterial filter and a pre-filter, works together to remove 99.99% of common allergens, dust and pollutants. This is especially important in areas where air quality can become dangerously high, with PM2.5 levels rising above 500 during peak pollution months.
In terms of specific pollutants such as pet dander or tobacco smoke, the air purifier performed effectively, although it's worth noting that for serious VOCs (volatile organic compounds) a dedicated VOC filter might be more suitable.
Although the air purifier works effectively, the noise level may be slightly higher when set to the highest speed. At low speeds it is virtually silent, making it ideal for use in a bedroom or office. At medium or high speeds the noise becomes more noticeable, but it is still not disturbing, especially if you do not use it at maximum speed for a long time.
Air quality indicator and accuracy
The real-time PM2.5 display on the Honeywell Air Touch P2 provides accurate indoor air quality readings so you can monitor the air purifier's effectiveness. The app adds another layer of functionality by displaying outdoor pollution levels, allowing you to compare indoor and outdoor air quality in real time. During testing, the air quality indicator proved to be accurate and showed changes in air quality as the air purifier worked to clean the air. It's a useful feature for people living in cities like Delhi, where pollution levels can fluctuate throughout the day.
Automatic mode and smart functions
Auto mode adjusts fan speed based on real-time air quality measurements. While this worked efficiently in my tests, it could take a little longer for the purifier to reach higher speeds if there was a sudden spike in pollution. The app and Alexa integration allowed for easy remote control, although there were occasional connectivity issues when connecting via the app.

Power consumption and filter
The Honeywell Air Touch P2 is corded and runs on just 50W of power, making it an energy-efficient solution for homes where air purifiers are left on for hours. I didn't notice any significant increase in my electric bill during the time I tested the unit. The lifespan of the filter is also impressive: up to 9000 hours or a year. The filter reset indicator serves as a handy reminder to replace the filter, keeping maintenance simple and hassle-free.
However, as mentioned earlier, the quality of the plug and cord leaves much to be desired. The wire feels a little too thin, which can make it susceptible to damage with regular use. It would be better if Honeywell provided a sturdier cord that can withstand daily wear and tear.
