OnePlus Open – OnePlus’ first foldable smartphone will officially become official on October 19. Ahead of the formal debut, the Indian prices and sale date of the device have been leaked online. A reliable Chinese tipster also gave more tips on the OnePlus Open’s rear camera and display specs. It could get a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 64-megapixel periscope sensor. The OnePlus Open will debut in the Chinese market with the name Oppo Find N3.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) has suggested the OnePlus Open India Prize on X (formerly Twitter). According to the tipster, the device will cost around Rs. 1,39,999 in the country. He also hints that the first sales of the foldable will begin on October 27.
If this leak is true, OnePlus’ foldable book style will sit between the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the affordable Tecno Phantom V Fold in the market. The first one starts at Rs. 1,54,999 for the base configuration of 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, while the latter costs Rs. 88,888.
Separately, Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) posted the display and camera specifications of the OnePlus Open on Weibo. It is said to feature an interior display that uses a BOE panel with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The display could offer 1440Hz PWM dimming and a peak brightness of 2,800 nits. According to the leak, the device will feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel dual-layer transistor main camera on the outsole and a 64-megapixel periscope sensor with support for 3x optical zoom / 6x lossless zoom. The third sensor is believed to be a 48-megapixel ultra-wide unit.
Moreover, the tipster claims that the OnePlus Open will get a 100W charger with 67W fast charging and may not get a wireless charging option. The device could run on OxygenOS 13. It is said to measure 11.7 x 6 x 5.8mm and weigh around 246 grams.
OnePlus has already announced that the OnePlus Open will be launching in India on October 19. The event starts at 7:30 PM IST. It will debut in the Chinese market under the name Oppo Find N3.
