Samsung's Stop to Oneui 7 -Uupdate can be shorter than expected with the Korean smartphone maker who hurried to bring the latest version of his update to his older Galaxy devices. Samsung had officially confirmed that the onion 7 rollout of 7 April had started, but many Galaxy users have been waiting for the update since then. Almost a week since the planned roll -out date, several reports confirmed that Samsung stopped one onion 7 Udpate worldwide because of a serious bug that found it in some Galaxy S24 devices in Korea.
However, if tipster Ice Universe should be believed on X (formerly Twitter), Samsung plans to restart the worldwide rollout of one onion 7 earlier than expected. The Tipster states that one onion 7 will be rolled out to Galaxy S24 users from today, ie 15 April.
We do not yet have confirmation from Samsung about when the official rollout will start again, but the company told Android Authority on Monday that “one onion 7 breakdown scheme is updated to guarantee the best possible experience”.
Moreover, there is no clarity about if the onion 7 roll -out to Galaxy S24 will be specific to certain markets or if it will be a global update.
Why is one onion 7 rollout delayed?
Again, Samsung has the problem that led to an onion 7 roll -out, but several reports suggest that there was a problem with unlocking the phone in Exynos -driven Galaxy S24 devices in Korea, along with potential battery drainage problems.
Since then, the bug has been linked to a problem with the Samsung Secure folder, but without an official explanation in sight, it is difficult to point out the exact problem at this stage.
Why is one onion 7 significant?
One onion 7 was first introduced by Samsung during a conference in November and was eventually rolled out with the Galaxy S25 devices in January. The new update has been praised by many as the best software experience on smartphones, especially with the recent AI wrestings from Apple. One onion 7 brings redesigned onion, liquid animations, faster app opening times, now bar for driving music and notifications of the lock screen and many AI functions such as AI Select, Writing Assist and Audio Eraser.
While newer Samsung telephones such as Galaxy A56 (review) and Galaxy A36 came with one onion 7 of the box, older Samsung users such as Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 left frustrated. Samsung in particular promises 7 years of software -updates with its flagship machines, but with the new updates that are so often delayed, many users have been wondering if this is a trick of the Korean Tech giant to stimulate the sale of its Galaxy S25 -Line -Up.
