Tech Giant Samsung has started rolling out the Android 15-based one onion 7.0 beta update for his Galaxy S23 series in selected regions, including India, the United States and South Korea. The update, which was previously limited to the Galaxy S24 series, is now available for users of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+and Galaxy S23 Ultra who want to test the latest adapted interface in Samsung prior to the official release.
According to user reports on the Samsung community forums, the beta update is currently only available for unlocked models. In India, the Galaxy S23 receives the update with firmware version S918BXU8ZYC3, while the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra respectively receive S918BOXM8ZYC3 and S918BXXU8DYC3. The update also contains the March 2025 security patch, which ensures the latest security improvements.
The one onion 7 beta update, approximately 4.6 GB in size, introduces various improvements, including improvements to the Galaxy AI functions of Samsung. Users can expect advanced writing aids for writing aid, improved Call transchasting options and the introduction of a 'Now Bar', which emphasizes relevant activities in various apps. In addition, the update brings a renewed home screen, redesigned widgets, a new layout of the locking screen and an updated camera interface.
