Samsung focused on Apple shortly after the American tech giant revealed its latest iPhone-Line-up, including a slim new model called the iPhone 17 Air. In a series of messages on X, Samsung Mobile US brought in its long -term rivalry with Apple, using the hashtag #icant to lamp the new devices.
Samsung takes a jibe at Apple
Citing his own remark from 2022 – “Let us know when it folds” – Samsung said: “#icant believes that this is still relevant.”
The company also focused on the Apple camera system and wrote: “48MP x 3 is still not equal to 200 MP.” Another message suggested that Apple was slow to roll out functions and stated: “#icant believe that some people had to wait 5 years for sleep score.” A further jibe was: “[Apple emoji] I just announced live translation at ZZZ-Noot. The only thing we can say is welcome at the #icant party. '
Apple introduced the iPhone 17 air as its thinnest handset so far, with a measured 5.6 millimeter. The design is slimmer than Samsung's Galaxy S25 edge, which is 5.8 mm thick. The iPhone 17 Air will be on sale from September 19, starting at £1.19.900 for the 256 GB version, with also 512 GB and 1 TB options with a higher capacity available.

The iPhone 17-air is equipped with a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with promotion technology with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It offers a peak clearance of up to 3000 nits and is said to deliver double outdoor contrast compared to earlier models.
For sustainability, the device is equipped with ceramic shield 2 on both the front and back. Apple claims that this glass is the strongest so far and offers three times the scratch resistance of its predecessor in addition to improved anti-reflecting properties.
In essence, the handset runs on the A19 Pro chip, the same processor in the iPhone 17 Pro range. The chipset includes a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU that is able to process AAA-grade games. Each GPU is equipped with neural accelerators and delivers the peak-gpu performance of the previous generation up to three times, a function designed to improve generative AI options on the device.
