What's new in One UI 7?
Galaxy AI
Like Apple, Samsung is adding support for writing tools with One UI 7, giving users the ability to summarize content, check spelling and grammar, and even format long notes into bulleted formats. Additionally, the Korean smartphone maker is also adding support for conversation transcription in 20 languages, including English (India) and Hindi.
The new feature can be enabled from the settings panel to automatically record calls and transcribe notes for future use.
Redesigned UI:
The new update includes significant design changes aimed at giving users more control over their devices. A notable feature is the Now Bar, a notification system integrated into the lock screen, which provides quick access to frequently used tools such as the interpreter, music player and stopwatch. Samsung has stated that this feature is part of its efforts to minimize unnecessary device unlocking while improving efficiency.
The interface also includes a redesigned home screen, improved widgets and an updated lock screen, allowing users to customize their devices more intuitively. The camera application has been overhauled with reorganized controls for a clearer layout. Pro video modes now include simplified manual settings and a new zoom control for smoother transitions during recording.
