Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the tech giant's quarterly results on Thursday, narrowly beating expectations with total revenue of $94.9 billion in the quarter ended September 28, up 6.1% from last year. While China remains a concern for Apple, Tim Cook underlined India's importance to the company. Cook said Apple had set a record revenue in India in the September quarter and also confirmed the launch of four new Apple stores in the country.
During an investor call on Thursday, Cook said: “We continue to be excited about the momentum we're seeing in India, where we delivered record sales in the September quarter.”
