Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi Pad 2 in India and expands its tablet portfolio with a device with functions that are aimed at entertainment and productivity users. The device stands out with an 11-inch display with a high resolution, long-term lifespan of the battery, and is the first tablet in the country that arrives with Google's circle to find functionality installed in advance.
Specifications and functions
The Redmi Pad 2 has an 11-inch 2.5k (2,560×1,600 pixels) LCD panel, with a refresh rate of 90Hz and peak clearance of a maximum of 600 Nits. The display, which supports 10-bit color and tüv Rheinland eye protection certifications, is also equipped with wet technology-it-responsiveness, even with moist fingers. The tablet, encapsulated in a slim 7.36 mm frame, weighs 510 g and comes in two color variants: blue and gray.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the 6NM Helio G100-UTRA processor from MediaTek, linked to a maximum of 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.2 Storage. The device runs on Xiaomi's new Android 15-based Hyperos 2.0, which offers a clean user interface and deeper integration with Google's AI tools, including Gemini AI.
An important highlight is native support for Circle to search, so that users can search for everything on the screen with a simple gesture-it-made from Redmi Pad 2 The first tablet in India can offer this function out-of-the-box.
The tablet houses an 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP lens in the front, suitable for video calls and casual photography. Audio performance is reinforced by a quad speaker setup tailored to Dolby Atmos, which ensures a compelling sound quality.
Redmi Pad 2 is supported by a substantial 9,000 mAh battery with 18W wired charging support, and promising extensively use on a single load. Connectivity options include 4G LTE (on selected models), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 3.5 mm headphone connection and a USB Type-C port. Extra sensors on board are a gear meter, a Hall sensor and a virtual sensor of the ambient light.
The tablet also supports smart pens, which extends the usefulness of both students and professionals.
Prices and availability
The Redmi Pad 2 is priced from £13,999 for the 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage Wi-Fi-Allene Model. The Wi-Fi + 4G variants are priced £15,999 (6 GB + 128 GB) and £17,999 (8 GB + 256 GB). The sale starts from 24 June via the official website of Xiaomi, Amazon India, and select Offline Retailers.
