Co-founder of Zoho Sridhar Vembu has confirmed that Arattai will soon be getting the end-to-end coding function for chat messages. In contrast to WhatsApp, Arattai currently offers end-to-end coding for calls, but not for SMS messages.
In a message on X (formerly Twitter), Vembu wrote: “End-to-end coding only stores that data on the device (no cloud storage, unless a backup is specified). So it is actually easier for our servers and reduces our costs to operate users. In the case of a backup, the uncoded device data is brought but no seeing, but no coded, but no coded device are steered but not being brought, but no coded, but no coded, are noticed but not being brought in, but no coded, but no coded device is steaded but not being brought, but no coded, but no coded-up are being brought, but no coded, but no coding, are being brought in, but no coded, but no coded device is stiffened, but no coded-ups are brought, but no coded, but no coded, are being brought in, but no coded, but no coded device is brought, but no coded, but no coding below).”
“Zoho Cliq, from which Arattai started, stores data in cloud storage because business users and managers are looking for, filtering, archiving, integration and other functions,” he added.
“We switch off that cloud storage in Arattai to offer end-to-end-end chat. That is now in testing. We would roll it out in November and we have now accelerated the schedule,” Vembu further noticed.
What is Arattai? How is it different than WhatsApp?
Arattai is the native app of the Zoho Group that is placed on the Indian market as the WhatsApp murderer. ZOHO, which already operates a number of other apps, has a background in giving competition to global technical giants such as Microsoft, Salesforce and Google with products such as Zoho Workspace, Zoho Mail and ZOHO CRM.
Although Arattai lacks end-to-end coding support, the new Message app is also supplied with a number of innovative functions that are not mentioned below the well-funded rival.
Pocket: With this personal cloud storage function, users can store messages, media and notes for future reference, accessible to multiple devices. Unlike WhatsApp, where users often have to make a personal group to store important messages, Pocket simplifies the process and keeps the content organized.
No Forced AI: Although WhatsApp has recently been integrated Meta AI, many users found it distracting and intrusive. Arattai keeps the experience clean by not imposing AI functionality to its users.
Meetings: Arattai enables users to make meetings directly in the app, to become a member or to plan, so that the need for extra platforms such as Zoom or Google measures is removed. The option for meetings is favorable on the lower dock, making it easily accessible.
