claim nasty Fame: mr. Cloud had never acted before playing Fezco, the lovable drug dealer in “Euphoria”, who has emerged as a fan favorite. Fezco was supposed to die in Season 1, but was kept alive after Sam Levinson, the show’s creator, played Mr. Cloud had seen. Fezco plays a bigger role in Season 2, including a budding romance with Lexi (played by Maude Apatow) that has sparked a lot of online chatter.
“I think Fezco’s relationship with Lexi is cool,” said Mr. Cloud, speaking as slowly and softly as his character. “It’s not rushed and it’s not every episode on screen, but when it is, it’s really something special.” He offered a sneak preview of this Sunday’s finale. “In the latest episode, Fezco is packed with action,” he said. “A lot is happening, I just hope the fans are ready.”
Big Pause: In 2018, Mr. Cloud on Mercer Street in Greenwich Village when he was approached by Eléonore Hendricks, a casting agent for ‘Euphoria’. “We were still looking for some main characters, especially Fezco,” Ms Hendricks said. “So when I clocked Angus, I stopped him and his friend. Things like this happen in New York City, but it’s hard to believe.”
At the time, Mr. Cloud was a waiter at Woodlands, a restaurant near the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. He thought it was a scam, but his friend convinced him to continue. “Before that I had no desire to act,” he said. “I think I was in the right place at the right time.”
Last Project: Madison Avenue has come. Last year, Mr. Cloud in a cheeky ad campaign for Fila called “Falling in Love Again”, with a short film directed by Mark Seliger and also starring Luke Wilson and Adesuwa Aighewi. mr. Cloud also appeared in an ad for the Gap last fall, directed by Christian Weber.
Next one Thing: The acting career of Mr. Cloud looks rosy. “We concluded the second season on November 23, 2021 and since then I’ve booked three new movies,” he said. They include “Your Lucky Day,” a horror film set in a supermarket with a $156 million lottery ticket, and “The Line,” a college coming-of-age thriller starring John Malkovich, Alex Wolff and Halle Bailey.
fashion baby: “The costume designers at ‘Euphoria’ do a great job keeping Fezco’s style in line with my personal style,” said Mr. Cloud, who loves polo shirts, tracksuits, chunky hoodies and colorful streetwear. “They know my likes and dislikes, and we work extremely well together.” That could also explain why Mr. Cloud this month was invited to several fashion events in New York, including for Thom Browne and Coach.
