Monday
100 DAYS DREAM HOUSE 8 p.m. on HGTV. Hosted by the husband-and-wife team of Brian Kleinschmidt, a developer, and Mika Kleinschmidt, a real estate agent, this reality design show, where they help clients create their dream home in 100 days or less, airs the Season 3 finale. .
WE OWN THIS CITY 9 p.m. on HBO. Executive produced by George Pelecanos (“The Deuce”) and David Simon (“The Wire”), this limited series based on a book by Baltimore Sun reporter Justin Fenton premieres. The series focuses on the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force and the corruption within the department. Simon, who created “The Wire,” suggested in a recent interview that “We Own This City” serves as a coda of sorts for that much-loved series, which aired on HBO from 2002 to 2008.
Tuesday
RISE OF THE NAZIS 9pm on PBS (check local listings). The second season of this documentary about the rise of Hitler and the Nazis in Germany in the 1930s. Historians and experts are trying to get into the mind of those who conspired with and aided Hitler when he gained control.
THIS IS US 9 p.m. on NBC. This series follows the lives of siblings Kevin, Kate and Randall (known as the Big Three), as well as their parents, Jack and Rebecca Pearson. This episode focuses on the night before Kate’s wedding, and Kevin’s love life takes an unexpected turn.
Wednesday
VALLEY OF THE DOLLS (1967) 9:45 p.m. on TCM. Based on the novel by Jacqueline Susann, this film follows three women trying to make their way in the entertainment industry. When the film was released, Bosley Crowther wrote in his review for DailyExpertNews that it was “an incredibly hackneyed and wacky mishmash of backstage plots”. However, the film later proved to have staying power. In 2016, as the book celebrated its 50th anniversary, the film was described as a cult favorite, noting that the stars’ “huge-haired, Pucci-clad looks and melodramatic lines are often invoked to this day by entertainment and design professionals.”
MOONSHINERS: MASTER DISTILLER 9 p.m. on Discovery. Past winners of the Master Distiller title return for a championship tournament, competing for the best spirits from unusual raw materials.
Thursday
OCEAN’S TWELVE (2004) 8 p.m. on AMC. After a major casino heist in Las Vegas in “Ocean’s Eleven”, Daniel Ocean (George Clooney) recruits another team member so he can pull off a series of European heists. The plan is an attempt to pay off the debt to Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), the man from whom the original team of 11 had stolen.
2022 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1: 8pm ABC, ESPN, NFL Network (check local listings). National Football League teams are making their rosters for the upcoming season from Las Vegas, starting with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Rounds 2 and 3 air Friday at 7 p.m. and rounds 4 through 7 air on Saturday at noon.
Friday
DINNERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVING 9 p.m. on Food Network. Guy Fieri revisits some of the most memorable restaurants and eateries from past shows. He checks in to see what new recipes they’re preparing, as well as any other changes they’ve made since they first appeared on the show.
GREAT PERFORMANCE: HEAR THIS NOW: 9pm on PBS (check local listings). In this edition of Great Performances, one of the longest-running television performing arts anthologies, the show’s host, violinist and conductor Scott Yoo, visits Chicago and San Francisco. Yoo explores how American composers are inspired by their cultural heritage through two composers: the Brazilian-born Sérgio Assad and the Native American Reena Esmail.
Saturday
HENRY V (1944) 3 p.m. on TCM. This Shakespeare play is set during the Hundred Years War, around the Battle of Agincourt in 1415. After becoming king, Henry V considers claiming both France and England. The play is partially presented on a stage as it would have appeared at the Globe Theater in 1603.
pawn stars: 9pm on History. Several generations of the Harrison family run a pawn shop on the outskirts of Las Vegas. In this episode, customers bring in items to review, including 1912 Yale baseball uniforms and a 1919 ukulele.
THE GODFATHER: PART II (1974) 7:45 PM on Paramount Network† The sequel to “The Godfather” follows the rise of Vito Corleone (Robert De Niro) to the top of his mafia family and the fall from favor of his son Michael (Al Pacino) after he took over from his father. Vincent Canby wrote in his DailyExpertNews reviewed when the film was first released that it was a “Frankenstein monster sewn together from leftover parts.” Reflecting on the trilogy 50 years after the release of the first film, Michael Wilson wrote of how art imitated mafia life and vice versa: “Generations of mobsters have looked to ‘The Godfather’ for inspiration, validation and as a script for how to speak and act and dress.”
AMERICAN IDOL (DISNEY NIGHT) 8 p.m. on ABC. The music competition series features songs from Disney movie soundtracks.
STANLEY TUCCI: SEARCH FOR ITALY 9:00 PM cnn. In the Season 2 premiere of this series, Stanley Tucci begins in Venice to continue his exploration of Italian culture and history through his food.
