That means the Australian has so far been fined $14,000 for this tournament after being fined for spitting at a spectator he believed disrespected him in his first round match against Briton Paul Jubb .
After Saturday’s heated game, Tsitsipas and Kyrgios continued to trade barbs from the field – the Greek fourth seed called his opponent “bad” and a “bully”, while Kyrgios said Tsitsipas is “unloved” in the dressing room.
“I didn’t do anything to Stefanos today that was disrespectful,” he added. “I wasn’t screwing him. To come in here and say I bullied him, that’s just soft.”
The 27-year-old has reached the quarter-finals of a grand slam twice before – a record he was able to match by beating Nakashima when the pair met on Center Court.
