Tennis referee banned for life for match fixing

The London-based agency said Zeferino had “manipulated” the scores entered into its electronic scoring device at an ITF M15 event in 2020, allowing for “guaranteed wins” by better ones on those points.

The ITIA added that Zeferino did not dispute the allegations and admitted his behavior in an interview.

He is no longer permitted to participate in any tennis event authorized or sanctioned by an International Tennis Board or National Association.
