Varanasi:
An 18-year-old student died during the treatment after reportedly shot in a private school here in Khushalnagar, a police officer said.
DCP Varuna Zone Pramod Kumar said: “We received information on Tuesday afternoon about a shot in the parking complex of Gyandep Public School in Khushalnagar of Shivpur Police Station Area of the manager of the school Ravi Singh. A student Hemant Singh, who was shown in the class 12th exam.” Mr. Kumar said that all evidence was collected from the incident site. The gun from which the bullet was fired was also taken in custody by the police, he said.
The DCP said that school manager Ravi Singh, deceased student Hemant Singh and two other people are going to the room where the firing took place.
He said Prima Facie, a personal dispute comes up as the cause behind the incident. All those who were present in the closed room were arrested, the police said, and added that the body of the deceased was sent for post-mortem investigation.
“Three people, including school manager Ravi Singh, were arrested by the police,” said the DCP.
