The Supreme Court refused on Monday to stay the publication of the election roles in Poll-Bound Bihar and said that it would forever decide the plea against the special intensive revision of India's elections.
The timetable to perform the final hearing of the case will be resolved on July 29, said a bank of Justices Surya Kant and Jimmala Bagchi.
By one PTI Report, senior lawyer Gopal Sankaranarayanan, who appeared for an NGO, said that the electoral rolls should not be completed in the meantime and that there should be an interim stay in the publication of the draft trolls.
The bank saw the last order of the Tophof that the petitioners did not press on an interim relief and therefore it could not be done now and the case would be interpreted forever forever.
'Aadhaar, voter cards have holiness'
The top court also asked the water level to continue to accept Aadhaar and voters -IDs for the SIR exercise in Bihar, because both have “some holiness”. “As far as ration cards are concerned, we can say that they can be easily forged, but Aadhaar and voter cards have some holiness and have a suspicion of authenticity. You continue to accept these documents,” the bank said.
The Tophof also said that the EC had accepted one of his previous order and said in his counter -declaration that Aadhaar, voter cards and ration cards should be accepted.
