Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi responded two days ago to the controversy surrounding the absence of female journalists at his news agency. He said it was more of a “technical issue.”
“As for the press conference, it took place at short notice and a short list of journalists was decided, and the participation list presented was very specific,” Amir Khan Muttaqi said.
“It was more of a technical matter… Our colleagues had decided to send an invitation to a specific list of journalists and there was no other intention than this,” he said on Sunday, October 12.
