In a dramatic incident caught on CCTV, a woman accidentally turned her SUV around in the glass entrance to Hotel Ramada in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, causing bystanders to flee for safety. From the images, which have since become viral on social media, show that the vehicle hits the main entrance late at night and avoid a major accident.
The incident reportedly took place around 11 p.m. on July 25. In the video you can see several people at the entrance when the SUV, instead of slowing down, suddenly accelerates inversely. Within a few seconds, the glass facade crushes and pour the car into the hotel's lobby while people are vigorously shy away from the way.
The woman behind the wheel, identified as a lawyer, would have lost control of the vehicle. The SUV came to a halt in the reception, so that guests and hotel staff were shaken unharmed.
According to a report from Hindustan Times, no injuries were reported, but the collision caused considerable damage at the entrance of the hotel.

While the clip spread over platforms, Netizens reacted with a mix of shock, humor and disbelief.

The police still have to issue a formal statement about the incident.
