Hyderabad:
Aimim President Asaduddin Owaisi participated on Wednesday in the 'Witching Off Lights' protest called by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (Aimplb) against the WAQF (Amendment) Act.
Speaking with reporters, said the Hyderabad MP, who participated in the protest in his home here, that the stir was successful and thanked those who participated.
People eliminated 15 minutes between 9 p.m. and 9.15 p.m. as part of the protest, he said.
The aim of the protest is to send a message to the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the law would only destroy WAQF boards.

He claimed that the law is unconstitutional and violates various provisions of the Constitution.
The AIMLB would also organize human chains and round table conferences as part of his agitation after two weeks, he said.
The protests would continue until the center withdraws the action, he said, adding that 'the switching off lights' was organized as part of the continuous agitation under the AIMPLB AEMPLB.
Note that Aimim has completely convicted Pahalgam's terror attack, he expressed fear of Hindu victims who were the target after they had asked for their religion.
