Prayagraj:
Although resident relationships have no social sanction, the attraction of young people requires that a framework or solution must be devised to save “moral values” of society, the Allahabad High Court has noticed.
Justice Nalin Kumar Srivastava made the observation as he led to the established Akash Keshari of Varanasi, which was booked under different sections of IPC and SC/ST Act for alleged physical relationships with a woman on the pretext of marriage.
Allegedly, Keshari refused to marry the person who approached the Sarnath police station of the Varanasi district.
“As far as the resident relationship is concerned, it has no social sanction, but because the youth is attracted to such relationships because a young person, male or female, can easily escape his or her liability for his or her partner, their appeal increases rapidly in favor of such relationships.
“It is high time we all thought and have tried to find out a framework and solution to save the moral values of society,” the court noted as he granted a bail to the applicant.
The Keshari Council previously argued that the story of the prosecutor was incorrect because the woman was a major and the relationship between them was consensual.
It was also argued that she had a resident relationship with Rekwirant for about six years and the alleged abortion never happened.
The lawyer also argued that the accused never promised to marry the woman.
