In a dramatic incident, a married woman jumped off the roof of a hotel and after she reportedly caught her beloved in a hotel room by her husband in the Barauth environment of the Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh.
The incident happened on Monday in a hotel on Chaprauli Road in Baraut Town.
According to the police, the woman arrived at the hotel with her alleged lover. Shortly thereafter, her husband and in -laws also reached the place, which apparently they followed.
After seeing her husband, the woman panicked and jumped from the 12-foot high hotel roof and fled, while the alleged lover, identified as a shobhit, was captured by the locals and transferred to the police.
The incident was also caught on the camera. The video showed the woman who jumped off the roof.
After the incident, the spouse filed a complaint with the police, who claimed a threat to his life.
The woman married a man from the village of Kakore in 2019 and the couple has a son.
On the day of the incident, the couple attended a marital counseling session in the Women's Cell on the SP Office.
Later that day he claimed that he had seen his wife with her alleged lover leaving a bicycle and followed them to the hotel, after which he warned the police.
In his complaint, the husband claimed that his wife was involved in various men before marriage and that relationships then continued.
On Tuesday, Baraut Kotwali Station House Officer (SHO) Manoj Kumar Chahal said that the alleged lover has been held and is being interrogated.
“The hotel was held by a youth from the village of Tugana, who is also being interrogated. The case is being investigated on the basis of the complaint submitted by the spouse, and will follow the necessary action,” Chahal added.
According to the police's complaint, the husband claimed that his wife threatened him with false cases and even threatened to kill him if he objected.
