Various Fiitjee coaching centers throughout India are closed, reportedly due to financial problems and non-payment of teachers' salaries. Now the Indirapuram center in Ghaziabad is also closed, which causes indignation among parents.
The local population revealed off-camera that the coaching center was closed for a week. On Sunday evening, hurt parents submitted a case at the Indirapuram police station against the management of the center.
Thirty -five parents have claimed that the operators of the center have collected almost RS 1.75 crore of reimbursements before they were switched off, so that the students were covered with only half of their syllabus.
The crisis in the Coaching Institute is the result of administrative and social actions that are taken against its branches for violating licenses and fire safety rules. The district inspector of Ghaziabad of schools, Dharmendra Sharma, had launched the new drive under the UP Coaching Regulation Act, 2002, against non -registered institutions.
The annual income of teachers of the institute varied between RS 15 Lakh and RS 2 Crore. Many centers had experienced mass dismissal of teachers after they had not paid salaries for months. Fiitjee is also accused of distracting his funds from companies other than the coaching centers. The institute lost its investors and teachers because of the financial crisis.
Almost three decades ago, DK Goel, graduated from the Mechanical Engineering of IIT Delhi, the chain of coaching institutions, specialized in technical admission exam training, also offers NEET access coaching. The Institute also offers coaching for basic classes for ranks 8, 9 and 10. Fiitjee is said to have 72 centers in 41 cities and more than 300 employees.
