Brazilian influencer Larissa Borges tragically died after suffering a double cardiac arrest. She was 33.
The influencer died on Monday after a week in hospital. New York Post. Her family confirmed the news of her death in a post on her Instagram page. “The pain of losing someone so young, only 33 years old and so kind is overwhelming. Our hearts are broken and the longing we will feel is indescribable.”
The family added that the social media influencer fought bravely for her life.
According to a local media report, the influencer was hospitalized on August 20 after going into cardiac arrest while traveling through Gramado. She fell into a coma. She suffered a second cardiac arrest and died soon after.
Her cause of death is unclear, but preliminary investigations suggest she may have been intoxicated at the time of her heart problems.
Her body is subject to a post-mortem examination.
“There is a report of possible ingestion of narcotics, which accumulate in alcoholic beverages,” said Gustavo Barcellos, deputy of the ongoing investigation. “The body has been sent for necropsy. We will try to look for substances she may have consumed through laboratory tests.’
Ms. Borges regularly updated her followers on her fitness, fashion and travel content. She has more than 30,000 followers on Instagram.
