At least four vehicles were set on fire and employees of a private company were attacked by members of the banned CPI (Maoist) at a railway construction site at Chandwa in Latehar, bordering Ranchi border, on Monday evening, police said.
The incident took place near Chatti river bridge within the limits of Chandwa police station, they added.
Police said a group of Maoists reached the site and set fire to three heavy vehicles and an SUV and attacked the workers.
The police arrived on the scene and started an investigation.
The incident took place exactly a month after six vehicles were torched and two employees of a private road construction company were attacked by members of the banned CPI (Maoist) in Palamu district.
