A teenage boy from Staten Island, New York, beheaded his mother's boyfriend in a chilling crime and told his sister to “go to your room” when she got home from school.
The incident was reported from a family home in West Brighton, Staten Island, when the girl found the body of a sanitation worker – her mother's 46-year-old boyfriend – in a bathtub, with the knife still lodged in his head.
The girl had just returned from school. When she arrived, she saw her blood-soaked brother who, after seeing her, told her, “I've done something bad, go to your room,” almost as a warning.
Ignoring the warnings, the girl followed the bloodstains across the floor and discovered her mother's boyfriend's body in the bathtub, prompting her to call her mother who rushed to the Cary Avenue home as NYPD officers worked the scene.
Their neighbor Jennifer Diaz told the New York Post that their mother kept shouting that she still loved him. “The mother kept telling her son, 'Why would you kill him?! I still loved him!' She screamed, screamed from outside the house. Where her son was.”

Diaz said the teen accused of the murder was led out of the house by police with his hands cuffed behind his back and a blood-stained, blank expression on his face, while his mother wouldn't even look at him.
“He had blood on his face and on his Timberland construction boots, but no blood on his clothes. He looked relieved, no expression on his face. Blank face, but so calm. No expression. He didn't say anything, just very calm,” she said.
Although the boy has no criminal history, there are reports suggesting he had mental health problems, including schizophrenia.
