New videos from Mariupol show the desolation of the besieged Ukrainian city, with deserted, rubble-filled streets, blown up cars and destroyed buildings.
DailyExpertNews has located and verified the authenticity of two videos, filmed from a car that came under gunfire, which were uploaded to social media on Tuesday.
The first video, filmed from a moving car, begins with a blown-up Mariupol police vehicle coming into view as drivers head south on Builders Avenue in the western part of Mariupol.
The street is littered with dirt, debris and splintered wood except for a small strip in the middle of the road. Occasional gunfire can be heard in the video.
In front of the car, the road seems blocked by burnt-out cars and the camera suddenly turns down. While that is happening, a body is seen on the ground to the right of a car. The car then turns sharply into a side road and sees a man running with a bag.
A second video starts as the same car heads north in a parking lot.
More gunfire can be heard in the video as the car pulls up Builders Avenue and heads north, back from where it came from.
As it does so, the body on the side of the road is seen again. The driver drops it amid the splatter of gunfire. The vehicle will pass the broken down police car and other bombed cars that are on the road.
The driver continues to accelerate as destroyed buildings and downed cables whiz past.
More gunfire can be heard, this time so close that the impact of the bullets can be heard. It is unclear whether the bullets hit the car or the ground nearby.
The car then drives away from the gunfire.
