In what seems to be a horrible incident, a minibus got stuck on Gorai Beach in the midst of the flood while there were no passengers on board, Afternoon reported. It called officials who said that everyone was safe, without injuries. The driver managed to escape, Times of India reported.
The incident took place around 10 a.m. on Monday 8 September when the bus driver tried to move from the beach; However, the vehicle was trapped when the flood came, so that he would call on the locals for help that then helped with ropes, Toi reported.
Before that, the driver dropped passengers on a bungalow next to the beach, the report added.

“We have interrogated the driver and will register a case against him for causing life,” Toi A Gorai police officer quoted.
A FIR was submitted against the bus driver and the vehicle owner after the driver had ignored explicit warnings from the local police, who, according to reports, had advised to pass a certain point because of the flood risk. Despite these warnings, the driver continued on the beach.
