A 35-year-old immigrant from Kuwait killed his relative for allegedly sexually abusing his minor daughter, a police official said Thursday.
Rajampet police officer N Sudhakar said Anjaneya Prasad recently arrived from Kuwait and beat his physically challenged relative P Anjaneyulu (59) to death with an iron rod for allegedly sexually abusing his daughter.
“Anjaneya Prasad came to India in the first week of December and killed Anjaneyulu on the intervening night of December 6 and 7 when the latter was sleeping outside his house,” N Sudhakar told PTI about the incident that took place at Obulavaripalli in Annamayya district.
After the murder, N Sudhakar said Prasad had returned to Kuwait and released a video message, in which he confessed to committing the crime as police allegedly failed to take action on his daughter's complaint.
Meanwhile, police have registered a murder case against Prasad and are looking forward to his arrest.
