Man gets woman drunk, rapes her on street in Madhya Pradesh

A disturbing video that has been widely shared and sparked outrage shows a man raping a woman on a road in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The man allegedly got the woman drunk before sexually assaulting her, and the video has now led to his arrest.

The crime took place on Wednesday when the man, who had promised to marry the woman, offered her alcohol and then raped her. He then threatened her not to talk about the sexual assault before fleeing the scene.

Police officers said they learned about the crime after the video went viral on social media and were able to track down and arrest the man.

“The suspect had promised to marry the woman. He made her drink alcohol and raped her,” an official said.
