A tourist from Odisha was killed this afternoon at the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. Prime Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has instructed the Resident Commissioner in Delhi to take steps to ensure that the body of 43-year-old Praspathy reaches his home in the Balasore district.
A resident of Ishani Village under Remuna Block, Satpathy was an accountant and had gone with his wife to Jammu and Kashmir on April 19 with his wife, Priyadarshini and the nine -year -old son for a vacation.
Prashant's wife Priyadarshini told an Odia news channel by telephone of the attack location that her husband was hit by a bullet when they were out of a cable car in Baisran, an off-road meadow in Pahalgam.
He collapsed on the spot, she remembered.
His brother, Sushant Satapathy, said he learned about his death when he called the free song. “I received the information today around 3 p.m.. I set the free song and was informed about his death,” says Sushant Satapathy, brother of Pahalgam terror attack victim prashant satpathy, resident of Odisha.
One of the family members of Satpathy later said that his body was taken by the army for post -mortem examination.
In a statement, Mr. Majhi described the attack as “horrible and barbaric” and expressed deeply sorrow about the death of tourists.
“It has also been reported that an ODIA tourist died in this incident. The main minister has commissioned the most important resident commissioner in Delhi to take steps to ensure that the body of the Odia Touist reaches his home smoothly,” said a CMO release.
Mr. Majhi said to X: “condemnation The cowardly attack on tourists in #pahalgam, South Kashmir. Violence has no place in our society. Warm participation in those who lost their lives for the rapid recovery of the wounded. Odisha is in solidarity with the victims and their families in this time.” Leader of opposition in Odisha meeting, Naveen Patnaik also regretted the attack on tourists in Pahalgam.
“Terrorism should not have a place in a civilized world and this cowardly act is unacceptable. My deepest participation in the families who lost their loved ones and prayers for early recovery from those who were injured,” said former Chief Minister Patnaik in a position on X.
