One person killed and 2 injured in shooting at a church in Aurora, Colorado, police say

The shooting took place at the Iglesia Faro De Luz Church around 8 p.m. local time tweets from the Aurora Police Department. A police spokesperson said there were many people in the church at the time.

Two adult men were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds and are expected to survive, police said. A woman died on the spot.

The suspect fled before officers arrived, and police said they are in the process of identifying the shooter.

There is “some kind of relationship” between the suspect and one of the victims, the… police spokesman said:adding that they are not releasing any additional details at this time.

“It wasn’t just another shooting in this church,” he said.

Police heard witnesses Friday night.
