Moscow, Russia:
Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to have conversations with his Ukrainian counterpart VolodyMyr Zelensky “if necessary”, the Kremlin has confirmed. The announcement came when the top Russian and American diplomats today held a meeting in Saudi Arabia with the aim of finding an agreement to end the many years of war in Ukraine.
Strangely enough, the current Russia-US meeting in Saudi Arabia, with the Ukraine war high on the agenda, has no seat for Ukra diplomats. President Zensky has said that “Kyiv could not recognize similarities or things that have been discussed without us.”
President Zensky will also visit Saudi -Arabia – but one day after the crucial meeting between top diplomats from Russia and the United States.
The spokesperson for President Zensky Sergiy Nykyforov said that he will not meet officials from Russia or from the US during his visit. He added that President Zensky and his wife Olena Zenska will be in Saudi Arabia as part of a “long planned” official visit before they go to the VAE and Turkey.
European countries and NATO fellow people are also working on what they describe as Washington's sudden change in the policy to Moscow. In fact, the meeting in Riyad will also see if there is a possibility for Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin to hold a top together with the aim of bridging the gap between Washington and Moscow.
But Putin's agreement to meet Zensky is a positive sign that can be on the maps in the Ukraine war. The conflict, which has been for three years, has not only led to a huge loss of lives and widespread destruction, but has had serious pressure on the global economy. Donald Trump is very pronounced about finding a solution as quickly as possible.
Moscow has also suggested finding a solution because it finds his economy under pressure on the costs of war and sanctions that it has imposed by the West. However, Russia has made it clear that it does not want Europe and NATO to be university of the solution and accuses them of “wanting to continue the war”.
Russia has repeatedly hit the increasing presence of NATO in Central and Eastern Europe and before it launched its entire military offensive on Ukraine, Moscow had demanded that NATO was obtaining its troops, equipment and bases from various Eastern European member states under the Moscow full of Moscow stood under the sphere of Moscow influence during the Cold War.
