Jaipur:
The Enforcement Directorate is conducting searches at the residence of Rajender Singh Yadav, the second cabinet colleague of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who holds the Higher Education, Planning, State Auto Garage, Housing and Justice portfolios in the state government, sources said. The searches started at 7:00 am.
Mr Yadav is an MLA from Jaipur’s Kotputli town, where searches are underway in connection with a money laundering case under the lunch scheme. Sources said both investigative agency ED and the Income Tax Department could be involved in the searches, which are linked to companies linked to Mr Yadav.
A team of ED officials from Delhi has reportedly reached Kotputli, and several vehicles are seen outside Rajender Singh Yadav’s house. Movement to and from the residence and office of the Minister of State is restricted.
