Nasa Astronaut Sunita Williams' sister -in -law Falguni Pandya said she got a photo of the Maha Kumbh of the International Space Station (ISS).
In an exclusive interview with NDTVShe said: “I spoke with her (Sunita Williams) just before I traveled to Kumbh. I asked her if she could see the Kumbh from space and what it looks like. She then sent me a picture of the room.”
Pandya said that NASA made sure that Williams was “surrounded by the love of her family” and was constantly updated about what she and her children were planning. “Compare this with 2007 when she was in space, we would spend six hours traveling to her parents' house, the NASA team, a satellite video of our messages would be recorded. Now we talk to her just like we get on a phone call. Thanks to NASA?!” she said.
A former captain of the American Navy, Williams, 59, was born from a Gujarati Father Deepak Pandya from Jhulasan in the Mehsana district and Slovenian mother Ursuline Bonnie Pandya, on September 19, 1965 in Euclid, Ohio. Proud of her multicultural roots, William's symbols has worn from her heritage to space “including Samosas, a Slovenian flag and Ganesha Idol during earlier missions.
Williams and Butch Wilmore's eight -day mission to the international space station changed into a stay in a job for nine months after Boeing's Starliner developed propulsion issues. The capsule made the space station on Tuesday and splashed along the coast of Florida on Wednesday morning. This was the third space flight of Williams and she clocked in space for 608 days.
The long -term mission of Wilmore and Williams also became a political flash point. Former US President Donald Trump and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk have made vague claims that the company could have returned the astronauts earlier, but was reportedly blocked by the administration led by former US President Joe Biden, CNN reported.
