Mumbai:
A 24-year-old man, who was distributing milk early on Thursday, died after an SUV driven by a teenage boy hit his two-wheeler in Goregaon area, police said.
The incident took place in Aarey Colony around 4 am.
Navin Vaishnaw died after a Mahindra Scorpio, which was travelling on the wrong side, collided with his two-wheeler, a police official said.
Since the suspected driver is 17 years old, a case has also been filed against the SUV owner Iqbal Jivani (48) and his son Mohammed Faz Iqbal Jivani (21), he said.
After the two-wheeler was hit, the SUV hit a power pole. The teenage driver tried to flee, but he was injured and was caught by the police.
His blood samples have been sent to a laboratory to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol, the official said.
Police are also investigating whether the suspect had been partying with his friends before the accident.
