The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is completely ready to make important changes to the Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir's support staff for the TOO against England, according to a report by Dainik Jagran. The report claimed that assistant coach Abhishek Nayar and Fielding Coach T Dilip can be removed from the team. The BCCI is reportedly not in favor of a huge support staff in the future and the decision will be made during a controversial meeting in Guwahati on March 29.
When Gambhir took over as a head coach, Ryan Ten Dochate and Abhishek Nayar were hired as assistant coaches. While NCA and a team coach Sitanshu Kotak became the Batting Coach, former South Africa Pacer Morne Morrel was set up as the team's bowling coach.

While they were all part of the Indian cricket team support staff during the Champions Trophy 2025 Triumph, the BCCI is said to be looking to cut it off and have a smaller coaching staff.
Some front line players from India will probably be part of the 'A' team that the lions will come across in two four-day games during the May-June window in preparation for the five games.
India starts the 45-day trip to England on 20 June with the first test in Headingley, because they will try to win the first road series at the Old Blighty since 2007.
