A car full of men on the Haridwar Highway in Uttarakhand made a female motorcyclist unsafe by showing inappropriate behavior last week, the woman in a video that has now become viral. Three people – all from Uttar Pradesh – were arrested later, the police said.
According to the video shared by the woman – who traveled around midnight because of an urgent situation, she said to Uttarakhand on Saturday and was on the highway in Haridwar when the accused arrived in a fast vehicle.
“When these people saw a woman going on a bike, they started to make obscene gestures at me. I made a video of their actions. I want to give courage to other women like me by making a video of such an incident. I mean that such incidents should not be ignored. The actions of such people have to be exposed so that others can learn a lesson,” the woman said.
The video shared by the woman shows two shirtless men who lean out of a moving vehicle and blow to her. They can be heard to make obscene comments, while one of them even tries to dance while hanging on the four -wheeler.
The vehicle seemed overflowing, crammed in with different men.
“Let's make a video of the vehicle number plate. They have sent a lot of kisses. I will also show them what it means to send kisses to someone,” the woman is heard in the video.
“The people of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi often visit Uttarakhand on Saturday and Sunday. I would like to say that they should come to their senses. Don't come to our Uttarakhand if you want to enjoy such acts … Stay in your limits … Do such activities in your city, house or for your parents,” she said.
She also tagged the Uttarakhand police in her Instagram post, hoping to get help with the case.
After seeing the video, the police of Uttar Pradesh arrested three men – Devendra, Rahul and Nikhil, NDTV reported.
In another video, the three men hold their ears while walking within a police station. They hear say, “All women are our brothers and sisters. Will will not make the same mistake.”
